I Am Alan Turing

For the past several years, I have been a co-creator—along with more than a dozen other artists in Canada, the United States, and Europe—of this devised, in-process multimedia opera that reimagines what it means to create and collaborate in the age of artificial intelligence. Drawing on the life and ideas of British mathematician, cryptographer, and early AI theorist Alan Turing, the work fuses analog and digital technologies, historical research, and experimental composition to present a new model for opera-making—one that lives at the intersection of art, technology, philosophy, and human complexity.
